| I graduated from
the College of Saint Rose in December
2007 with a B.F.A., dual concentration in Photography and Art Education.
I started at Mohawk Valley Community College,
earning two Associates Degrees - one in Fine Arts and
one in Illustration.
My immediate
professional goal is to become an art teacher.
I believe that
art education is the access into the fundamental
creativity that all humans share and need to
express. My role as an educator is to support
and nourish independent thinkers and innovative
problem solvers who will become the future
leaders in our society. My goal is to
challenge, empower, and inspire students to
become the best they can be, and more. I love to
encourage people to examine their surroundings
with a fresh perspective then tap into their
creative potential in order to bring their
artwork to the next level. I am committed to
being someone who makes a positive impact on a
daily basis.
My professional
aspiration beyond the classroom is to be a
catalyst for expanding the participation and
appreciation of art and culture in the
Capital Region. I meet many people who
want to produce artwork but do not have the space,
appropriate facilities, or support structures in
place. My long term goal is to create an
Art Center to
function as a studio space, supply store,
meeting place, workshop, classroom, and gallery
in Albany.
